Hopes Fading....

Well, my hopes of running the half marathon are starting to come to an end. Between not training enough and now with being sick...I just don't know if the Halloween Half is going to happen. I know I shouldn't say this, but I am okay with that. I reallly want to focus on getting to my goal. Even though, I am still reevaluating what that means.

Confession...I am debating doing 1 round of HCG.
Now, I have always been against the HCG diet because it is a quick fix. Most of the time, they gain all of the weight right back. I don't mean to sound hypocritical, but really, I think it could work in my favor. I have no problem maintaining. I have been sitting at 125 +or- a pound or so for the last 4 months. Maintaining is not a problem, but I am discouraged that I have stopped losing. I know people who have done it and some have succeeded and some have not. I am torn as to whether to try it or not.

Tell me What do you think of HCG?

Hey girl! I haven't been posting or commenting much but when I saw your post about HCG I had to comment. On my blog early this summer I was talking about this "secret" diet I was doing that made me drop 10+ pounds in like two weeks... well I was on the HCG diet. Let me tell you it does work IF YOU STICK TO IT! Don't know how much you know about the procedure but you're basically on a restricted 500-cal eating plan (no sugar, carbs, or fat) from anywhere between 21 and 45 days. But after that it's another 4 - 6 weeks of strict eating. Again, no sugar, carbs, or fat. I did really good while I was on HCG but the 4 - 6 weeks after it killed me. I not only gained back all the weight I lost but also an extra 10 pounds because I was so bummed about the gain.

I bought another round of HCG about two months ago but literally flushed it down the toilet because it was too hard to stick to.

You and I both know that exercise and proper eating work the best for our bodies so my suggestion would be to skip it. Unless you have a full 2 - 3 months of NOTHING to do (no parties, get together's, family functions, etc.) I would say stay away from HCG. Or at least wait until the holidays past because going without sugar, carbs or fat during the holidays will be TOUGH! Don't wanna waste your time or money.

I realize this might not be what you want to hear, but just wish someone had told me that before I tried HCG and before I gained 20+ lbs. back from my lowest on HCG. Today I'm still stuck trying to get to my lowest pre-HCG weight. I say we do this together the healthy way!
